Day 1: Arrive and Settle into the Red Centre
Arrive into the Red Centre and pick up your rental car. Head to Desert Gardens Hotel at Yulara (Uluru region) where you’ll spend the first 3 nights. Take time to explore the resort and soak up your first outback sunset.

Day 2: Uluru Sunrise & Cultural Experience
Rise early to witness the iconic Uluru sunrise — colours shift over this ancient sandstone monolith. Spend your morning exploring Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park; take a short walk at the base of Uluru or visit the Cultural Centre (entry requires a parks pass). Later, choose a guided walk around Kata Tjuta domes.

Day 3: Field of Light & Outback Vibes

Day 4: Drive to Watarrka (Kings Canyon)
Depart Yulara after breakfast and head south via the Luritja Road toward Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park. The drive through rugged desert scenery is one of the Red Centre’s most iconic self-drive stretches. Check into Discovery Parks Kings Canyon for your next 3 nights.

Day 5: Kings Canyon Rim Walk Adventure
Today is about adventure! Tackle the famous Kings Canyon Rim Walk, a stunning 6 km loop that rewards you with dramatic views across the canyon’s sandstone walls and hidden “Garden of Eden” waterholes. For a more relaxed option, the Creek Bed Walk lets you explore the canyon floor at an easier pace.

Day 6: Depart or Extend Your Outback Stay
